A few pics made on a walk last summer. I enjoy seeing rock faces or broken ground that has a riot of growth around it. It feels like looking into an antediluvian world; the start of a journey to the centre of the Earth. The term antediluvian seems to refer to a time before, or of the flood, at least thats how I understand the term after researching it.

The feeling that something lies below is how It feels when I'm making  these photographs and it's reminded me of a collection of photographs I did years ago where I attempted to do cross sections of the landscape.
